Good, affordable housing has become one of the most pressing issues in our region. Even in the rural Alentejo it is hard to find a home to rent, let alone one built with care.
At Quinta do Coito Grande, houses are being built and restored for the people who live and work here. Old buildings are given new life with natural materials, and new homes are made available for rental and shared living.
Different models are tested so that a good home stays within reach, such as rents adapted to income or exchanged for work.
One of the goals of Casa dos Sonhos is to provide regenerative living conditions beyond the needs of its members. Each house that is finished brings that goal a step closer.

We believe that internal healing goes hand in hand with outer healing and loving care for all that surrounds us.
