Good, affordable housing is one of the most pressing issues in our region. Gentrification is not limited to Lisbon but even in the remote area of the Alentejo it is becoming a serious challenge to find rentable accomondation, let alone good quality regenerative housing.
The Co-housing and Rental Homes project is a small-scale solution Casa dos Sonhos team has created to respond to the needs of our local community. We are experimenting with different financial models such as work exchange for rent and income-percentage based rental fees, etc..
In Quinta do Coito Grande, a few houses have already been built and made available for rental and shared-living. We expect a few more houses to be finished in the near future in some of our other locations.
